The unit arrived separately in three different boxes on different days. It was easy to get inside, but one must use a dolly or have a couple of sting, able people due to the weight of the boxes. The glass fireplace insert came first. Prior to assembly I would recommend that you read the instructions completely noting there are no words. There are only pictures - 32 pages of them! .Lay all of the items out in sequential order needed to assemble. With one person who is very inclined in assembly, it took 5 1/2 hours and a lot of patience. We were very disappointed to notice that the top veneer board for the unit was damaged on the front corner. It was not bad enough to send back (though I wanted to because who wants a new piece of furniture that's damaged?!) With shoe polish my husband was able to ‘blur' the blemish but it's still visible, unfortunately. The fireplace unit is good, it has a thermostat, a timer and a variety of color schemes for the lights in both the side cupboards and in the ‘flames.' All can be programmed to change/fade to the next color scheme or even ‘dance' to music. The drawers are smooth in terms of operation as are the glass doors. Overall it's a solid 4 star piece. It adds a nice ambiance to the room and is a bonus to have an extra heat source. For reference, we used it to hold an 86” TV.
