I was happy to get this product and give my honest opinion. I had another bar that we had used for the shower and it had a suction cup to hold it up on both sides. Even after checking every once in a while that this was "feeling sturdy "I would use it to get out of the bathtub and sometimes it would fall. It was not very safe. This product was actually for the wall near my toilet. And we had discussed getting one because I needed something sturdy after having a fall. He wanted me to be a little more safe and sturdy getting up and down from the toilet as I have a lot of balance issues since I've recently become disabled partially. Besides the fact that it's orange, which I do not prefer., It is very sturdy. It was very easy to put up and only took about 10 minutes. It has everything that you need in the box to do it. And it has a few different positions so that you can angle it or have it straight. Seems sturdy, color is ugly

I had this grab bar installed near my washing machine to help me stand from my wheelchair when I'm doing laundry. The screw that came with it are too short; use longer ones for better safety. The size and grip are good; I'm not using it the shower, so wet hands are not a factor. It seems sturdy enough for the intended use here (mostly as an aid to standing up and for balance while on my feet). It's small and is intended to be installed vertically, which we did. The outer casing is plastic. I missed that in the description and didn't think to look for it since I've only seen all-metal bars before. The "yellow" color is actually closer to neon orange. Would be fine for a child's room or something. Since it's in my laundry room, it's no big deal but I would have preferred an actual yellow color. Delivery was fast and on time. It took me so long to review because I had to wait for my dad to install it for me. (I couldn't do it myself since my disability means I need to hold onto something when standing or risk a fall. Can't do that, hold the bar in place, and use the drill all at the same time.) That said, installation was easy and took him only a couple of minutes.
