I bought this to replace a router that I suspected was dying. My MacBook kept losing connection with my old router a few times an hour. Bought this one, set it up a few days ago, and it hasn't lost connection since. I'm not sure about the speed since the router replaced the one at my mom‘s house and I don't know what her network speed is supposed to be, but the connection itself has been absolutely flawless.

Replaced prior TP router, issue was with software I tried to use to limit my kids after hours use of WiFi. Somehow software corrupted the router, it was simpler to replace it than to trouble shoot for hours. Love the hardware, don't recommend the software.
