It had great reviews, and I own another version of this brush. Pleased the reviews were right; this one is my favorite! It's very gentle on my hair that is almost 3ft long. I haven't done a blowout to date, as it's summertime. I did use it in the shower after applying conditioner, and it was lovely not needing Touch ups afterwards. I have Dry Bar velcro curlers that do make it easy to still brush around while pinning the others in. I highly recommend this brush at a very great price!

we haven't used this for heat styling, so can't comment on that. but it has been great for detangling really thick hair. it actually pokes through and gets to the scalp instead of floating on top
