Little Seeds Trellis Toddler House Bed, Deep Blue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great bed. It can be either a cute house bed or you can build it so it is a floor bed with a separate playhouse. I built the house bed and my two littles are fighting over who gets to sleep in it. The assembly took me 45 minutes and required no additional tools other than the Allen key they provided. The pieces were clearly labeled and the directions were very exact. I found myself using the diagrams as they were very detailed. I appreciated how every piece was individually wrapped for protection and nothing I opened was damaged. I did have one barrel nut which would not go all the way in. I needed to use a file to remove some additional wood stuck in there and then it was fine. The non toxic coating was important to me as we try to keep our children away from as many chemicals as possible. I will always choose a chemical free option for my children. I did notice a slight paint odor so we will air it out before placing it in the bedroom. The bed is very sturdy and feels very high quality. I do not worry about it breaking or falling apart with normal use. I feel it will last through multiple children. The design also allows for the mattress to be on the floor so no worries about your toddler falling out of the bed. I have been looking at this style of bed for a while now. I wanted something simple and neutral which I could decorate for my daughter and then use again for my son when she outgrows it. This design allows for so much creative freedom. On the assembly: It was a bit confusing, even for me, and I am fairly good at assembling things. I had to take some of it apart and redo it because I got it wrong the first time. It took me about an hour to get it all put together. And just make sure you don't lose any bolts or pegs or anything, because there aren't any spare parts. I would say overall the assembly wasn't too bad, and everything is very well labeled. On the bed: I do really like this bed, but more importantly, my children have been having a blast with it. I have 5 (almost 6) children ages 9 and under, so most of them fit in the bed and have been taking turns sleeping in it. They have so much fun covering it in blankets to make it into a tent, and I even found a garland decking it out one day. It seems to be fairly well made. I had children climbing on it and it held up to that. It's been getting lots of playtime by day and sleep time by night. :) I do really like the fact that it's non toxic. I don't think I'm the only one who's children put their mouths on everything, so it's good to know it's safe. This bed is also very cute, and doesn't take up too much space. Which of course is a win win! Overall I really like this bed!
