I have a Microsoft Surface Go 2, a very thin and lightweight (1.2 pounds) notebook computer, that I always use with the lid closed and plugged in to a docking station for external monitors and keyboard. On warm days, the computer gets too warm. I thought if I could run it vertically, with the hottest spot at the top, it'd expose both the top and bottom and shed heat more efficiently. I searched and my local Walmart store had this stand in stock for curbside pickup. I was skeptical about whether it'd be stable enough to not tip over, but as long as I'm careful, I can slide it a bit without tipping over even with the heavy end at the top. I've been using this for about a week, and the computer is running cooler. It also frees up a bit of desk space standing the computer vertically.
