Fit weird, color not as depicted. Returning

I ordered the dark brown, but they are definitely not dark, they're more of a medium/chestnut brown. The fit is weird, hard to get foot in, once foot is in the toe fits well but there's a gap at heel that causes heel to slip. Normally wearing 2 socks would take care of slipping but there's no way to get boot on with 2 socks. Returning
