  • Read Before Use
    • A small amount of powder on the surface before first use is normal.
    • Rinse it off before use.
    • Due to the natural odor and moisture absorption of diatomaceous earth during long-distance transportation, it is recommended to air-dry the mat in a well-ventilated area for 2-3 days before first use.
    • Use only on a flat surface. Excessive pressure or use on soft or highly cushioned areas may cause cracks.
    • To prevent warping or cracking, avoid drying in direct sunlight, using a heater, soaking the mat in water, or pouring large amounts of water directly onto it.
    • Do not use detergents containing surfactants, as they may cause surface buildup or clogging.
    • If the mat absorbs colored liquids, stains may remain.
    • Handle with care to prevent breakage.

  • How to Use
    • Before first use, rinse off any powder on the surface of the diatomite mat. Place the non-slip pad on a flat dry surface, then lay the diatomite mat on top. Place the mat in a well-ventilated area to let it dry fully between uses. This helps extend its lifespan and prevents odor or stains.
    • Avoid drying the mat in direct sunlight or at high temperatures, and do not soak it in water, as this may cause deterioration or warping.
    • To remove surface powder and maintain absorbency, regularly clean the mat with a damp cloth.
    • With repeated use, the mat's pores may become clogged, reducing absorbency. If this happens, gently sand the surface with the provided sandpaper to restore effectiveness. Handle with care to prevent breakage.

  • Care Instructions
    I. To prevent mold growth, regularly air-dry the mat in a well-ventilated area. As a guideline, dry it every 7-l0 days in summer and every 3-4days in winter.
    2. To remove surface powder and maintain absorbency, regularly clean the mat with a damp cloth.
    3. With repeated use, the mat's pores may become clogged, reducing absorbency. If this happens, gently sand the surface with the provided sandpaper to restore effectiveness.
    4. For stains that cannot be removed with a damp cloth or water, gently sand the surface with the provided sandpaper, then wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
    5. Because the mat absorbs water quickly and dries fast, it may warp after absorbing a large amount of water in very dry environments (such as when exposed to heating or air conditioning). If this happens, rinse the mat for about 10 seconds, then flip it over and leave it to air-dry naturally overnight. This will help restore it to its original shape.

I've been wanting a stone bath mat forever! I have similar stones that I use for the sinks and to dry my dishes and I love them. I have a rescued cat that thinks regular bath rugs are for her personal potty use -grrrr. And I have teenage boys who do not know how to dry themselves off before walking through the entire house…. Sigh I'm so glad I found this one! The description was accurate, was shipped with plenty of protection and it arrived the next day. It also dried quickly as soon as I stepped out of the shower!
