GameSir Swappable Faceplates for G7, G7 SE, Xbox Controller (Transparent Purple)

This faceplate is magnetic, and installation is pretty straightforward. It does not really include nor need additional instructions. There are no tools included nor needed for this. It is super easy to swap and does include both white and black joystick friction rings that can also be swapped, albeit less easily than the faceplate. This has retail packaging and was put in a plastic sleeve to keep it clean for shipping. Firstly, this particular faceplate works with all G7 controllers, including the G7 SE and even the G7 Pro. Which was not listed in the product description. The one I have has a 3 piece faceplate, but it is still the same size and fit perfectly. All I had to do was switch the d-pad from the circular one to the plus ( ) shaped one because this faceplate only accommodates plus shaped direction pads. I'm actually a little impressed by how easy these magnetic faceplates are to swap and also by how well they stay on once they're stuck on. It's a good design and a fair balance between clipping on and magnetic snaps without the need to forcibly pry it off to remove. This was a breath of fresh air compared to other controller brands that require prying the controller apart with tools. The G7 really has a user-friendly design. There are two sets of joystick rings included with this. The black ones were already on, and the second set was white. They have tiny clips all around each and are fairly easy to exchange. Though I wouldn't want to do it often because I think the tiny clips would eventually start to break off. This specific faceplate is transparent purple, and I do really like this aesthetic. Outside of the traditional color options. People want custom looks with lots of options. Buying a whole new controller just to have a different look is hard to do for some people, but this puts some of that variety into more people hands. I'm all for that. This also makes it super simple for anyone to get artistic and customize their own faceplate look because you can easily buy a replacement if things go wrong. Pros: Easy magnetic swap. Transparent aesthetics. Purple as a color option. Included black or white accent rings. No tools are needed. Change your look for a fraction of the cost of a new controller. Cons: Tiny clips on the joystick rings are likely the first thing to break, so be careful there.
