Key item features

  • ENDORSED BY SKEET REESE - Skeet Reese, a Bassmaster Classic Champion and former Bassmaster Angler of the Year, is a fishing legend who loves KastKing reels. So much so that he wanted to work with the brand to develop his new reels - the Skeet Reese Signature ICON Fishing Reel. When a legend endorses a reel - anglers need to pay attention because the top pros prefer the best gear.
  • LIGHTWEIGHT YET TOUGH - The robust aluminum frame of Skeet Reese ICON Baitcasting Reel paired with highly durable carbon fiber side plates provide considerable strength while limiting the overall weight to only 7oz.!
  • IMPROVED CASTING & HIGHLY VERSATILE - Skeet Reese ICON Baitcasting Reel’s Automag Dual Braking System utilizes a one-piece magnet ring & centrifugal adaptability to improve casting distance and reduce overruns. The 7.2:1 gear ratio is ideal for topwater baits, jerkbaits, jigs, and other techniques that create slack in your line. The higher gear-ratio comes in handy for solid hooksets on long casts, further reducing missed bites.
  • SERIOUS STOPPING POWER - Triple Disc Carbon Fiber Drag Washers provide up to 17.6 lbs. of maximum drag to stop fighting fish. And the double bearing supported pinion gear is 35% smoother under load and 30% more durable.
  • PREMIUM FEATURES THROUGHOUT - The TPE handle knobs are incredibly comfortable and provide anglers with a better grip and complete control. The KastKing patented LFTV (Low Friction Tapered Vortex) line guide limits the amount of friction on the line allowing for greater casting distance.

The Flipping Switch takes it to a whole new level of controlled casting. Not real need to switch from one mode to the other !!

MegaJaws Elite Shallow Spool Baitcasting Reel

This is without a doubt the best bait casting reel I have ever owned. In my search for a smooth casting reel that offered the least chance of me having to clear a “birdnest ”, I bypassed the brand names offered at the sports equipment outlets. And I am so glad I did because this reel is awesome! The reviews I read were right on target. Smooth, fast, and no birdnest yet?? Thanks, Randy
