The instructions are very clear, but you do need to pay close attention to the details. Some steps can be confusing if you rush through them. This is definitely a two-person build—no less. If you've assembled furniture from Walmart before, it's not difficult. If you haven't, I strongly recommend taking your time and carefully following each step. There are a lot of pieces, and assembly took us about 3 hours minimum. Overall, I absolutely love it. I'm using it as a kitchen table since I have a small kitchen and limited space, and it works perfectly for that. A cordless drill was very helpful for some parts and made the process easier. The screwdriver that comes with it helps as well.
