I purchased the smaller rice cooker last year. My daughter and I discovered you can actually cook way more than just rice in it. We cook pasta, rice and soups in it mostly. After learning how to cook so many things in it, we decided to make the upgrade to the larger one. We made a great choice. My oldest daughter borrowed it and like us, she just has the small one. She called later and couldn't stop talking about how much more she loved the large one. We highly recommend, if you have the room on your counter or to store it between uses, to buy the larger one and forget the smaller one.

Fantastic Rice Cooker
I love the water fill line in the pot. I can't stress that enough. There's no guesswork about whether or not you've added enough water. It automatically switches from "cook" to "warm" when it finishes. The steam tray is a great addition as well. My daughter is a vegetarian and she loves veggie meatball substitute with rice. This lets me cook both at the same time with a lot less cleanup.
