the instructions are well written. it takes 2 people to assemble. it is HEAVY and comes in 4 boxes. it took us 6 hours to fully assemble it. but if you follow the instructions, it is very solid. the anchors it comes with are trash. go buy toggle bolts from the hardware store and some washers to space out as needed from wall. the LEDs look TERRIBLE just dont install them unless you are serving shots at your bedside lol. again, its very solid and feels like good quality. the cabinet doors could have been better but for this price I think its really good. i loaded up with my books and the shelves seem to be holding up fine too.

The bed is fine, but I'm 50/50 as to whether I would buy it again. The biggest issue with this murphy bed is that it does not provided nearly enough brackets to secure the bed to the wall and the anchors they provide do not look they could support the weight of the bed or the tension in the pneumatic rods. I order 100 lb anchors and ended up using six. Also, the anchors the place at the top, back of the bed's exterior frame can be difficult to reach without a ladder. Also, be aware that the metal frame is VERY heavy and until the pneumatic rods are put on, the frame is definitely a team lift. In addition to that, it does take 1-2 days to fully assemble and it is very obvious that it is MDF wood boards. The veneer is fine from a distance, but up close looks cheap. I bought this so that when guests visit for the holiday the office can become a spare bedroom so it is serving it's purpose, but I wish it was a tad nicer looking, more secure and perhaps lighter for safety, and a little easier to assemble.
