Easier to assemble then others

After reading some reviews about how long it took to put together I was a little intimidated about buying it but for the cost I figured I'd take a shot at it. I was pleasantly surprised that it only took my son and I about 3 hours to assemble. While the instructions could be improved, the pictures are clear and easy to follow. I bought this one because the base is made of metal not wood slats. This makes the bed very sturdy and gives me confidence it will last. I would definitely recommend this product!

Wish It Was Nicer, More Secure w/ Easier Assembly

The bed is fine, but I'm 50/50 as to whether I would buy it again. The biggest issue with this murphy bed is that it does not provided nearly enough brackets to secure the bed to the wall and the anchors they provide do not look they could support the weight of the bed or the tension in the pneumatic rods. I order 100 lb anchors and ended up using six. Also, the anchors the place at the top, back of the bed's exterior frame can be difficult to reach without a ladder. Also, be aware that the metal frame is VERY heavy and until the pneumatic rods are put on, the frame is definitely a team lift. In addition to that, it does take 1-2 days to fully assemble and it is very obvious that it is MDF wood boards. The veneer is fine from a distance, but up close looks cheap. I bought this so that when guests visit for the holiday the office can become a spare bedroom so it is serving it's purpose, but I wish it was a tad nicer looking, more secure and perhaps lighter for safety, and a little easier to assemble.

Good product, poor directions

I loved the product, but the instructions are terrible. Need to be improved upon for sure. I did it by myself and it took me 12 hours to put together. The bolts included to attach to wall were not good I had to purchase new ones to work as well as I bought this for a drywall home. Once together it is very nice.
