Warm Audio WA-47jr SE Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone (Nickel)

The Warm Audio WA-47jr SE arge-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone brings vintage studio sound into a modern, easy-to-use package. Built around a single-backplate K47-style capsule, this mic captures recordings with lush low end, clear mids and smooth highs. The circuit design stays true to classic condenser mics but with updates for lower self-noise and wider dynamic range. Producers and engineers looking to record vocals, acoustic guitar or even podcast audio will notice a distinct analog warmth that stands out on any track. The fixed cardioid pickup pattern focuses on the source and keeps unwanted room noise out, even in small or untreated spaces. With its sturdy build and simple setup, this condenser mic brings classic tones to any home studio or project space.

Single-Backplate K47 Capsule Recreates Classic Sound

Engineers know the heart of any condenser mic lies in its capsule. The WA-47jr SE uses a gold-sputtered, single-backplate K47-style capsule, mirroring one of the most famous designs in recording history. This capsule produces a frequency response and sonic character similar to vintage '47 microphones, known for their warmth and detail. The result: tracks gain a smooth, analog color without harshness, making vocals and instruments sit well in a mix. Musicians can expect natural body and a rich top end on every take.

Cardioid Polar Pattern Focuses Sound, Blocks Room Noise

This microphone uses a fixed cardioid polar pattern. The design captures sound from the front while rejecting noise from the sides and back. Singers, podcasters and guitarists who record at home benefit from better isolation and less background noise. The focused pickup shape means less bleed from nearby instruments or computers. Users get cleaner tracks with less need for editing or noise reduction in the mix.

Streamlined Controls Simplify Studio Workflow

The WA-47jr SE arrives ready to record. Its fully discrete signal path keeps sound quality high, while the simple, single-pattern design eliminates confusing switches. With a high maximum SPL of 147dB, this large-diaphragm condenser handles loud sources without distortion. Included accessories—a hard mount and leather pouch—make setup and storage fast. Plug into any standard interface or preamp and start tracking with no complicated menus or calibration needed.

Durable Construction for Consistent Long-Term Use

Each WA-47jr SE microphone is hand-tested in Austin, Texas, ensuring consistent quality across every unit. The housing uses rugged materials and a solid grille to protect the capsule and electronics. Its gold-sputtered diaphragm resists humidity and daily wear. With proper care, this studio mic maintains performance for years, even with regular use in busy project or professional studios.

Studio Experience With WA-47jr SE Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

Producers, engineers and artists looking for authentic, analog-inspired sound will get a lot out of this large-diaphragm condenser. The capsule design and circuit layout help recordings sound full and lively, even on basic audio interfaces. By keeping background noise low and offering a focused pickup pattern, the WA-47jr SE delivers tracks that need less editing and sit better in a mix. This mic brings classic studio character to any modern workflow.
