Universal, fits either right or left knee. Adjustable soft non scratching Velcro straps. Can be worn directly on skin. Non slip if tightness is adjusted correctly. Washable by hand. Plastic clips on each side of silicone protect and provide stability. Con: Large fluctuations in cost for what appears to be same Gounod products. And I think I got a fluke, out of the 4 black clips one will not stay clipped closed. Will super glue as that will not affect function. Tip: when hand washing straps roll in dry towel to remove excess water, cuts drying time.

My doctor recommended patella straps to help my knees. Usually they’re used for people who play sports like running or basketball, but I’m just on my feet all day at work and I have the same problem. These are a combination of silicone and rubber feeling components and they do seem to stay in place during the day fairly well. The adjustable strap (and extra longer strap) are soft but have no stretch so if you need a larger size there’s no room to accommodate that. The part of the support that supports the tendon is a more firm and less flexible material and keeps pressure where it’s supposed to.
