Justice Girl's Colorblock Pleated Active Skort, Sizes XS - XLP

Justice Girls Ombre Pleated Skort, Sizes XS - XLP : Bought this skirt, called a "skort" - a combination of a skirt shorts together, made for active young tween girls ( a very short hemline) - for my 9 yo granddaughter's birthday. [Note: This style skirt is trending in north TX. now, apparently, certainly by her group of girlfriends, so check out what girlfriends wear if you have this age child to shop for.] I used her Waistline to estimate the fit, hopefully that may help figuring your fit -aside from just using Age (which doesn't always match up.) The fabric is reasonably soft and has a fabric weight that seemed enough to hold the PLEATS and to withstand her activities at this time in her life. She loves Pink so the gradient pink to orange selection was a winner, she was excited enough to try it on right away! ! We also got her the lime green to sky blue gradient color selection too, and she liked it -though not the same reaction as pink. I went up a size for the green one, just in case, and it's a got a bit of growing room as a result -but not baggy. I don't think only an inch difference in waist causes big problems as long as the hips and underneath shorts fit ok. Try getting hips, waist, and inseam -and don't forget this is pretty limited to %23summer warm weather wear. I hope these are offered next Spring Summer.

My daughter is a tall 4 year old. I ordered her the size small in this skirt. It is a little big for her. She could wear the XS as well. I love the ombre look and the convenience of shorts built in. My daughter was super excited to try this on. It's great for summer play. It is casual with a dressy feeling.
