After a minute I figured it out and the whole assembly took about 10 minutes. we purchased this for my wife while she recuperates from knee surgery. it is perfect for thebuse intended. the bonus is thatvwhen she recovers we can disassemble put back in the box and store until the next need arises as I'm sure will happen since we are in our seventies now
