Inexpensive. Durable. Cotton. I buy these boys sizes for women's work shorts for myself. All of the women's shorts are either Daisy Dukes or some sleazy hot polyester knit. Completely inappropriate for workwear. So I buy either small men's or teen boys shorts in order to get something comfortable and durable that is walking-shorts length. Elastic waist is convenient and comfortable.

I ordered these for my grandson. He prefers this fabric as it's not as hot as heavy denim or nylon basketball style shorts. They fit him comfortably loose, no binding and not too snug on hips. I recommend hanging to dry to prevent fabric from wrinkling too much. I smooth fabric and hang to dry leaving the shorts looking like they're lightly pressed.
