Hose is quite functional, lays nicely over my decorative metal garden hose holder (ground staked), whether expanded or when not in use. Expands quickly when water is turned on if nozzle is left closed initially. Takes a bit to return to 'retracted' size once water is turned off while nozzle sprayer remains open. We attached the heavier duty metal nozzle that we used with our last expandable hose. Overall, very satisfied with quality and usability of this hose. (We did not use the plastic hose hanger or plastic nozzle that came with the hose - rather cheaply made products.)
