My daughter easily sunburns, and my son-in-law works landscaping, so they are no fans of sitting in the sun. But, my granddaughter loves the beach, so I got the family size tent (I also own 3 person tent) . It is big enough for two large beach chairs, and all of our belongings and food, with room to spare. If you want to stay in the shade, while enjoying a beach view of the water, this beach tent is for you. One person could do it alone, but it's easier with two people to set it up. With hundreds of people on the beach, we had the best shelter.
