Ozark Trail Family Dome Tent, 5-Person, 9 ft x 8 ft

I don't know about you guys, but I've just about had it with “family-sized” tents where I barely have enough room to breathe, let alone sleep with several people. Fortunately, with this oversized Ozark Trail family tent, everyone has enough space to spread out, relax, and actually enjoy the camping experience! Despite being lightweight and compact for portability, this tent opens to give a great 8'x9' footprint, which I found to be plenty of space for my wife and I to each have our own space while camping. See the pictures for a size reference of me (5'11) starfishing in the middle for scale. If you're the type to camp with air mattresses, this could easily fit a queen air mattress with space on the sides or two twins while still having room for clothes/food/etc. There are also two storage pockets on the sides as well as a shelf up top with a hanger for a lantern or bug-zapper. The tent went up easily and quickly (in about 5-10 minutes). I appreciated the high-quality stakes provided in this set to easily hammer or push into the soil - those badboys won't bend on first use like some other brands. Once up, the tent looks sleek with a cool color scheme and a rain fly for protection from the weather. There is no front “porch” of sorts, but next time I would just bring along a larger tarp to serve double duty in that regard. There are portions to unzip to allow airflow in as well as an electrical opening for power to pass through the tent wall near the door. After our camping trip to test it out, I was also very pleasantly surprised that everything went back into the bag easily without fuss. I've only had one other tent in my history that I can say that about, so that's a big W in my book for Ozark Trail. All in all, this tent is large, stylish, and portable top suit your camping needs. I'd recommend it more as a spacious 2-3 person tent than a 5 person family tent, but that's personal preference. Appears to be high quality, here's to hoping it lasts for years of camping fun to come!
