Surprisingly great quality for the price!

I am really impressed with the quality and sturdiness for the value. The top is beautiful and much higher quality than I expected for the price. After two months in a house full of teenagers it doesn't have a dent, scratch or stain. The sliding mechanism on the top is really clever design, the hinges are heavy duty, but I still try to keep the table top pushed towards the center to not put too much weight on the hinges when the extension is up. It is not difficult to put together, but it is time consuming to put together - did take me about 6 hours total. The two wheel locks are fairly useless when there are 3 other wheels that move. I got some cheap rubber furniture wheel stoppers which do a much better job keeping it where I want it, as I don't need to move it frequently. We are using it as an island in our kitchen that had lots of extra space but not enough cabinets. The cabinets and drawers are not as deep as standard built-in cabinets, but the hinges are straight and drawers work and it added much needed space. Highly recommend, I saw the same exact product on other sites for 50% - 80% higher price.

My Pretty Kitchen Island

The appearance of the island is very nice! It's wonderful to be able to open up the drop leaf and it's great to be able to move it around, if you want. Having power cord and outlet is great to have! To put this together is absolutely mind-boggling! I even had a carpenter to put this together and he said there's too many pieces/parts to put together! Took a long time to assemble. Also, I thought I was getting more of a butcher block, but it's fine with what I have.

Great Unit!

What a great unit for our kitchen! Great price on this rolling unit – the shipping fee was a killer but unit itself well worth the price. Lots of pieces to assemble, but overall, pretty smooth process – took him 4 hours total. We really appreciate the electric capability – we added a floor outlet underneath and cut a hole in the bottom for the cord so it wasn't hanging out the back. The drawers are a little larger than they look in the pics and for this, I am very grateful. Lots of great space inside the cupboards as well.The extension of the top is wonderful, but it does move around a little – we are going to add some hardware to stabilize this feature. The backing of the unit is a little flimsy, but overall, we are extremely pleased with this unit and it's hard to imagine our kitchen without this functional piece!
