Overall, YES I like the cup. But for a TODDLER, it in fact is NOT leak proof it actually just pours the drink out of you have the straw open I'd be more specific in the description to say yes it's leak proof if it's closed completely but it does pour out the straw if it's opened. I'd expect a little leak or some drops but it literally pours out.
