I wanted my two year old to start getting the hand skills of holding and using scissors correctly. Though they are made out of plastic, these scissors have been sturdy and just want I wanted! They are joined well in the middle and don't pull apart with when little fingers use them incorrectly. They have a good weight to them and are easy to hold. Main critique is that it won't cut through thin craft paper easily. The paper bends in between the scissor blades. As an adult I can use them perfectly fine on any paper, but little learners struggle at times. I have already purchase this product multiple times and now consider this my go to for beginner scissors!
