This is a gift for a baby that's due soon. When it asks if it's true to size, etc… I just assume so. I haven't bought baby clothes since many years ago (my GRANDkids are grown) but I can tell you what I appreciate about this garment, considering both parents and baby. It's simple, soft, and adorable! Plus it has one zipper that zips down one leg (making it easier to get baby dressed) and back up to the top center neckline, where there is a piece of material that covers the zipper (protecting baby), and at the wrist of the sleeve there are fold-over mittens (giving the option to leave baby's hands free or cover them with the soft mitts).
