But the real selling point for me was the practicality. Being water-resistant is a total game-changer for a house with kids and pets. We’ve already had a couple of spit ups, and the liquid beaded right up, making it incredibly easy to blot away before it soaked in. ​The material is surprisingly soft (almost like faux wool), so it’s very comfortable for sitting and playing on the floor. I also love that it has a built-in non-slip backing; I didn't need to buy a separate rug pad, and it stays perfectly in place even when the baby is crawling around. It doesn't stay put for the cats, but it's not that big of a deal. The colors do look different under different light. The pictures I took are in bright natural light. ​The fact that it’s machine washable and low-pile (so it doesn't trap a ton of pet hair) makes maintenance a breeze. I absolutely love this rug! It's soft and feels like velvet. I also love the animals and plants on it, too. It's vivid and gorgeous. The scalloped edges make it very unique. It would look good in a living room or any animal lovers bedroom! It had fast delivery, too. I definitely recommend this beautiful rug!
