The toe area is not snug at all, I have the average size calf and it fits perfectly no to so loose you can see down the boot but also not very snug, they are perfect I gave it 4 stars only because inside foot are is very hard but nothing a insole can't fix, also I'm a 8.5 ALWAYS and these are a bit large on me but I absolutely love them and recommend them!! Buy and judge for yourself so glad I didn't listen to the few people who gave not so great reviews. They look amazing on to! I
