I own a home based cookie business so use my mixer often. I have always used the KA 5.5qt, but heard good things about this mixer. I wanted to be able to do double or triple batches of dough (KA was tough to do double). I got it on a good sale and decided to give it a shot. I used it once so far. Attachments: came with 3 stainless attachments. All were heavy, large, seem to be really good quality, with no coating to chip off. I did purchase the flex edge paddle separately, and that's what I used. Mixer: the mixer is sturdy, on the heavier side, but I was able to pick it up and move it around. The upper body is plastic, so I was a little disappointed in that, but it washed off well. I don't think it will be an issue. The motor is strong and quiet. It has a fan that runs to keep motor cool, and that's the “noisiest” part. It has suction cups on the base to hold it in place-great for mixing, but a little pain if you want to move it. It has a light so you can see in the bowl easily-a very nice feature. Also has a timer. I don't think I'll use it, but also a nice feature. I was able to make a double batch of dough easily with room to spare. I made a triple batch (6 sticks butter, 9c flour, 3c sugar…), and it mixed it great with no strain. Did not get hot after back to back triple and double batches. I did keep en eye on the triple batch because I was afraid the dough was creeping up the paddle a bit. I would do a triple again, but would keep an eye. Mixer is beautiful to look at (I got the cream color). I don't leave mine out, but would have no problem doing so. Overall, I am really happy with this mixer, especially at the price point compared to other “name brands” of the same size. It seems to excel in the areas that make a difference-motor strength, bowl capacity, noise, attachment quality. Time will tell, but so far, so good!

I love the mixer, the only problem I had was 12 hrs. after I ordered it the price lowered by $60 It did not even ship. Walmart would not give me the new price- I had to cancel the order and reorder, which I did. Then I still have not gotten delivery on this item, they lowered the price another $15. I almost canceled my order again but left it. They would not even give me a store credit for any of the price drops. TThe mixer is great, it was Walmart that gave me headaches.
