The description of these being “running shoes” is false advertising. These aren't horrible shoes but I'm not sure they are worth the 22.00 i paid for them. First: they are made of mesh. I knew this so I wasn't surprised. But, I know they will tear the first time I use them in rough terrain. The tongue of these shoes will not stand up long enough to simply slide my foot in. With most running shoes the tongue has a place to lace through the tongue to keep it from moving. These shoes do not. The soles are made from the same rubber that you equate with dollar store crocs. I would not consider these rigged in any way. The insoles are thin and do not cushion well and give no support whatsoever. These shoes are good for something to wear inside your house if all you're doing is puttering from room to room.
