Item completely encompasses the mattress, so it will not slide off. It is super super soft.. it does make the height of your bed a little bit taller so if you have older cats, it is a little harder for them to jump up on there, but they do not leave the bed once they're there. if you have to buy the cheap $400 mattresses this will make a world of difference and make it actually comfortable, especially if you are temporarily or permanently bedbound will help with comfort and your body will not hurt as much. I highly recommend this product that needs a cheap comfortable mattress topper.

Cannot recommend strongly enough!

I bought a new bed that I liked, but got it at a discount, and well lets face it, you get what you pay for. I bought a memory foam top, which I also liked, but it still felt like maybe it wasn't 100% what I wanted. I bought this top and wasn't sure that to think when I unboxed it. it doesn't look or feel like much. I put in on my bed and waited for bedtime. When I laid down, I said, out loud, "oh my god!" That is not hyperbole. I am beyond 100% happy with my bed now. I cannot recommend this enough. If you are on the fence, just do it, thank me (and yourself) later!
