This shipped as pictured in a clear see through plastic bag in its own canvas drawstring storage bag, (12” tall x 10” wide and 5” deep) the same type canvas material as the hammock that is rated for 400 lbs. It is very compact for storing, due to not having any wood cross bars on top, nor are they needed. This is much strudier then a fringed hammock I brought years ago for a much higher price that did have wood support bars, but that one I ended up having to line it with a plain canvas hammock to make sturdy enough to actually use and last. The most significant instruction note was that both the head and feet must be at the same height or level (better/more even weight distribution). I am using on a hammock metal stand so no concern there, but others maybe thinking of tree applications. Overall, I am very pleased by the quality and price point of this hammock at $39.99 and do recommend it.😍
