9Lives Daily Essentials Dry Cat Food 28 lb size bag is the best value for price, at least in regards to 9Lives dry food sizes. Prices have gone up dramatically for 9Lives, but it remains a good low cost option that provides the vitamins and nutrients that kitties need. The pieces of dry food are small in size so the bag is packed full and it lasts longer than the brands with larger sized pieces. Plus the smaller size works great for smaller sized kitties. We have a mixed tortie that has midget cat traits of short legs and small head with kitten teeth at 4 years of age, and she loves this food. All kitties, both our 7 indoor and the numerous outdoor feral community cats enjoy this food and we haven't seen any ill effects from their consumption of it. A side note, raccoons, possums, and birds enjoy it too!
