VERY bright. Bought for its red distress light!

I can't submit an opinion on the battery life due to just receiving flashlight today. The instructions sheet is barely legible with tiny lettering and light-colored ink. I muddled my way through with “trial and error” techniques until I finally figured out the correct placement of the included rechargeable battery. I'm still practicing on turning it off without having to go through all of its varied light settings. The brightness is exceptional! At present, three of the four charging lights are lit and %234 is still blinking. I also ordered rechargeable AAA batteries; hopefully, they'll recharge faster with the additional AA and AAA battery charger I also purchased. I ordered a total of four flashlights so I'll always have one within a near distance when the electricity goes out which has become more and more prevalent.
