The jacket was better than expected. It has the interior of a soft fleece jacket with a thin puffer shell like a windbreaker. It's lightweight and folds up easily to be packed unlike bulky puffers. I like the reinforced wrists on the sleeves and pull tab around the bottom waist. The jacket is also a good length for a long torso.

I ordered a M and L in two different colors, black and dark gray. I'm replacing my son's fleece hiking C brand jacket from last season. This jacket can be for dress up or dress down activities, this will be for hikes and school. The jackets have a front puffer lined pockets with snaps deep enough to store a large cellphone. The hoodie is connected and lined with the light weight puffer lining and shell fabric. The fleece is very soft and the shell lining doesn't feel stiff or plastic. No worries about it being a noisy puffer or sound crunchy when moving. It's very well made as expected from IZOD.
