Bought this for my 57 year old sibling who has Downs Syndrome, and she likes her food separated, for the most part. She is short %26 over the past year has lost a lot of weight fast, which we were worried about, due to the thyroid issues many folks with Downs Syndrome are born with - the portion plates are a great way to remind her of how much she needs to eat of vegetables, meat and starches. It seems to be helping, the lids help so we can create dishes ahead of time %26 then place in the refrigerator for later in the day. Which also helps our parents who are in their 80s now, yet still somewhat independent.
