Nice hot plate and keeps hot with auto shut-off. Super easy to set up and program. I'm so pleased and for this price you can't go wrong! The filter is gold toned. You can use paper but the closed bottom on the filter basket gives you a better stronger cup of Joe ! Would make a great gift as well for someone on a budget. The color's are nice as well! Buy it!
