The Design House 779108 Ball 2-Way Latch Privacy Door Knob is perfect for bathroom and bedroom doors that require locking. With privacy in mind, this door knob locks from the inside with a turn-button and does not include keyed cylinders. A ball knob shape and matte black finish make this door knob versatile in style and design. The 2-way latch door knob is reversible for left or right-hand doors. This locking door knob fits the two most common backsets in the U.S. (2-3/4 inches and 2-3/8 inches). The durable 1/2-inch latch bolt is plated in nickel and does not budge once in place. Use this doorknob on standard 1-3/8-inch and 1-3/4-inch thick doors. This product has a 1-inch by 2-1/4 inches radius corner faceplate. If you are preparing your door for installation, the cross bore should be 2-1/8 inches in diameter, and the edge bore should be 1-inch in diameter. This latching door knob is ANSI Grade-3 certified and rated for residential security. By installing the Design House Ball Privacy Lockset in your home, you gain a sense of security and comfort. It's a little complicated to install. It took 2 of us to figure it out. But I've never changed a door handle before. It looks amazing. Very heavy duty, beautiful and looks great on our white bedroom door. I recommend this door knob, especially if you need to have a locking door.
