But I waited until we finally had truly bad weather to put this windbreaker trench coat to the test—and wow, it delivered. The size is perfect, the feel is comfortable without being bulky, and the color is beautiful in person. But what impressed me the most is how well it handles wind and rain. I wore it during one of those storms where you’re genuinely questioning your life choices because the rain is sideways and the lightning feels way too close. Despite how intense the weather was, none of my clothes got wet—literally none. My shoes were soaked (because of course they would be), but my pants, top, and even my hair stayed completely dry. The hood actually protected my face and hair better than any coat hood I’ve ever used. It’s a really well-made jacket. And the pockets. You can fit all the essentials in the pockets. I had my phone, my AirPods, my keys, a lipgloss, and a wallet divided between the two pockets and they stayed dry as well. This is one of the very few trench-style windbreakers I’ve tried where water didn’t soak through at all. It blocked the wind perfectly, repelled the rain like a champ, and kept me warm and dry throughout the storm. I’m seriously impressed—this coat is going to be a staple in my closet for every rainy, windy, or unpredictable-weather day. And the bonus is that it’s in one of my favorite green shades.
