This was purchased for my one year olds first big girl bed. I got the natural wood and it had many rough pieces of wood through out the bed .( I even got a splinter. )I sanded rough places. Don't like how the screws are exposed where it's joined together. The spacing of the bed slats could be a little more closer together to keep little hands and feet from falling through. (I'll be putting a bumper pad around it.) It seems really sturdy. My little one loves it.
