I LOVE this clock/sound machine. I previously bought another brand (starts with a S and ends with a P) and hated it because sounds were scratchy and not very soothing and most of all the light on it was so bright . This little clock though is a wonder! The dimmer can be turned down so low that it doesn't look like a light left on and the sounds are realistic, soothing, and not scratchy or echoing. You can NOT go wrong with this one!
