It says it takes 2 days to expand, but it took ours about 2 weeks to fully expand; on the top back cushion part of it. But it's very solid %26 firm %26 seems exceptionally durable. It's a good quality couch. Lightweight. But not for somebody looking to lean back %26 kick back.
