Bought this bag for carryon personal item on plane. Was very large and sturdy material, soft sides and bottom. I was able to place my purse inside it and also add some items to keep with me- like some personal and medical items. Large thick rope handles could fit on shoulder or hand carry , but I preferred sitting it on top of my overhead bag and pulling it by securing on pull handle of other piece. Is a great beach bag too!
