I am obsessed with these socks, the inside is super soft, but the outside is wool. Definitely keep your feet warm in the winter. My only complaint is my husband has thick ankles and will most likely have his circulation cut off by the end of the day. So these are mine now and I'm okay with that. Definitely recommend IF you have regular/small ankles
