This blonde/butterscotch, black bound on the body is just fantastic. There is a slight morph/smack at the lower right (standing on it's bottom button, it's under the jacks and about an inch and a third long blemish, like a bump, without physical damage, irregularity. Almost a non-factor visually and not enough to distract. I'm super happy with this. The tuners are tiny, so I'll be changing them. They don't hold tuning super well, but with a trem, that's no biggie. Besides, the cost of the whole guitar with a trem is less than most tremolos sold separately. I'll most likely be buying another color variant, that's how much I like it. I'll leave the single pick ups alone, but I already have an Epiphone Pro-Burstbucker to replace the humbucker that's in there. It's actually not bad, but I really like the Burstbuckers and I already have it anyhow, so why not. Still, I'm extremely happy with this purchase, it's actually cheaper here than a used one I saw at Guitar Center that had plenty of surface boo boo's, so I'd be off kilter were I to buy the used one. Seriously, this is an excellent guitar, especially for the price. I've never had a Fender style other than a Squire and I just despised it, I don't think there was a single edge that didn't want to cut me. That is very much not the case here. I've already filed the fret ends some and they won't cut, but I still feel them so I may just swap these out for some rounded edge frets, but only Stew Mac has them right now and they would overcharge you for the screws to a back plate lately. If you're on the edge and basically housebound for the time being, this is absolutely the way to go. I think I'm into it for around 80 or 90 dollars, in American money! I've blown more on a pawn shop Epi SG that was a train wreck and the new ones are hitting a grand, or near enough, I could buy 8 of these and still have enough to buy a few jars of peanut butter. I wish I was kidding.If you know a kid who needs a guitar, birthday or they baby sat for you or they just made you smile, it's an absolutely great beginner guitar. I need some physical therapy, so that's why I got it and if you're looking for a new guitar, you'd be crazy not to get one. The machine heads are functional, but replacements aren't a bad idea, other than that, a half decent amp, mine actually came with a mini amp, so it's playable out of the box, with a quick tune, maybe a string height adjustment, I had to drop mine about a millimeter, which didn't actually HAVE to be done. grab one while you still can. Like I said, if they have any left in another color, I'm getting it. This was a lengthy review, I know. I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't impressed.
