The assembly of this item was time consuming but well worth the effort. Everything was labeled and organized very well. It took about 2 hours to do but it really was made easy by the organization of the parts and the clear instructions. The appearance of the piece is just like the pictures and it looks more expensive than it is. If this matches your style, you will be happy with it. The particle wood is solid feeling and sturdy. The doors were easy to align with the turn of the appropriate screw adjustments--all pretty clear in the instructions. I'm not handy, so if I can do this alone, I think most people could. I have my 65" tv on it and it extends almost to the edges of the piece, with maybe an inch or less on each side remaining. I love that it has a space for the sound bar under the top shelf--the support leg is recessed so it will fit any size soundbar. The holes for cables and wires are convenient. DO PAY ATTENTION to the warning in the instructions not to move the piece by pulling up on the top shelf!! They say it might cause the top shelf bolts to pull out. I didn't believe it would for just a quick micro-adjustment in where it was sitting. I felt and heard that it will indeed come undone if there is weight on it and you try to move it by using the top shelf. You have to grab it underneath the whole thing to move it. So, be careful. That being said, I love this tv stand. It is the perfect height for my space and it blends with my other decor. The cabinets are big and adjustable for your needs. They also have soft close hinges which I also love. The LED lights are cool, but I barely use them. They've worked beautifully and have stayed attached as they should. The color I bought is the "natural" and it is like a cream or light beige color with some patterned "wood grain" which adds some texture. Take-away: Solid and highly functional tv stand that is both practical and fun. It holds my 65" tv well and it's very sturdy (watch out for the top shelf if you move it!).
