You get what you pay for
BLUF: I'd only recommend this product as a rock bottom budget option AND if you're willing to secure it to the wall. Pros: Easy assembly, and the appearance of the surface is great, considering that it's particle board. It is dense and textured, mimicking natural wood. (I purchased the gray option). The product is very inexpensive. Cons: There is a noticeable gap where the two surface boards meet. There's also a chip in one of the surface boards. I'm sure I could contact the manufacturer to request a replacement but it's not really even worth it considering how garish the gap is anyway. Additionally, the product isn't sturdy enough to stand on its own. I followed the instructions and tightened all hardware fully only at the end of assembly, and it still wobbled all over. Thankfully the feet underneath are adjustable to help level the product, but ultimately it's just so narrow that it's likely to tip over. Fortunately the package does include hardware to secure the product to the wall, but if you don't want to mount it, I would say this isn't for you.
