Light weight for river trips

I've used this rain gear before, for camping in heavy rain, and the same on big river trips. (The only reason I needed a new set is because I lent my others out.) I like that it is lighter weight for packing and drying out between uses, and it is relatively inexpensive. I do think it is wise to order a little bigger than you think you'd want. That way you can get in and out of them easily over your clothes and you don't worry about splitting seams. I'm 5'4”, 156lb, and ordered a size medium.

Favorite all around performance rain suit

Love this ultralight and breathable rain suit! It takes up very little space in my pack. The jacket literally saved my life when I got caught by a surprise hailstorm and freezing rainstorm up on an exposed ridge at 12,000 feet. It kept me dry and surprisingly warm! I love the large hood. It easily fit up over my hat and stayed in place. For such a lightweight material, the suit is fairly durable. This will be the rain gear I use on my thruhike of the CDT!
