Great knife. Give it a try!

Great knife for the price. I used it to clean a lot of walleye on a recent hunting/fishing trip to Canada. I oiled the handle a couple times before the trip just to give it a better feel. Out of the package it has a raw and coarse feel. The oil made it feel a lot better. The blade had a good edge to start with and the included sharpener worked great to touch up the blade after cleaning fish. The sheath is nice and tight. You don't have to worry about the knife coming out on accident. I have no doubts that this knife will last me for many years to come… as long as I don't misplace it. I'd recommend this knife many times over. Buy yourself one, you won't regret it.

Knew this was a great knife

Many years ago my late husband had this same knife which he mainly used for filleting fish or on occasion deboning some venison. When I recently needed a good filet knife for removing the tough silver streaks in a tenderloin I knew just what I wanted. Sure enough, Walmart had the exact same knife I'd bought about 50 years ago. It did a fantastic job and it is a quality product for a great price.
