I bought this for my grandson that turned 4. This is not his first remote nor his 6 year old brother, but it is faster and takes more skill. They loved racing it around the house, and we can't wait for spring/summer to take it outside. It is fast and the battery life was great for indoor use. The boys could plug it in for a recharge, easily. They ran it into cabinets and furniture, sometimes on purpose, and it is still in one piece. Overall I would recommend this for 5-6 year olds. The 4 year old did ok, but his brother and cousin did much better.
