Nanit Pro Complete Baby Monitoring System with HD Camera & Wall Mount

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Nanit Pro Complete Baby Monitoring System from Stellar Panel as part of testing and OMG it's so amazing. I've had several different baby monitors and they do not compare. The setup was very easy and only took a couple minutes. I choose to use the multi stand because I'm renting and wasn't allowed to mount my camera to the wall. The multi stand is adjustable so so issues with view obstruction. The camera is so clear! It was like watching my baby on a 4K movie. The app works very good, I especially liked the zoom in feature. My only issue is how to rotate the view once it's been expanded. I did have to lookup instructions on the web and once I found them I was able to rotate. It wasn't intuitive and I wouldn't have figured it out without searching the web. Other than that 10/10. Love this monitor.

Overall this monitoring system does it's job and more... but not so much more it is overwhelming. The complete system comes packed with the essentials to be able to utilize all of the features which will put families minds at ease when welcoming their newest little one into their own sleeping space. Not only is the monitoring system easy to install, set up and utilize, but the HD picture quality is AMAZING. Pros- 1. Easy to install both the systems its self and the app. I put the app on both my phone and tablet products. After having to follow terrible and drawn out instructions for putting together all the baby furniture, it was nice to have a simple step by step instruction manual to follow. The app was so simple and can be used right away. I really appreciate Nanit adds in the wire covers with the complete system. To not have to track down an after market cord cover helps when you eventually transition LO to a toddler bed and they have access to the ENTIRE room. 2. Features are awesome! There are many other products on the market which can measure your child's breathing at night, however (in my opinion) they are a bit overkill. To not only be able to see my baby breathing because the HD monitor is so clear, but to also have the ability to add the belly band would have saved the need to check in on my daughter when we first put her sleeping in her own room. I also LOVE the fact you can keep track of LO height with the use of the sheets. They are a cute pattern and can let me know how she is growing... win-win. 3. Nanit seemed to have thought of everything when it comes to the accessories. I really appreciate Nanit creating many different sleep products to be able to use the breathing feature of the system. You can literally find a product which will fit your needs however you babe sleeps best. And if you already have your tried and true sleep product, you can just add the belly band and call it a day. The stand which comes with the complete set is great for moving the monitor from room to room. It is nice to be able to use one camera and app for both sleep and awake times. I move the camera to my playroom so I can watch both my toddler and baby while I am cooking dinner in the kitchen. There are other accessories as well which can be purchased which may fit your families needs best. Cons- 1. Does eat up battery life on the device you have the app installed when in use. Be sure there is plenty of charge for nap times, and needs to be plugged in at night. When nap time is over I turned off the camera on the app and still needed to charge my tablet mid day because I like to have the screen up (in night mode) during the day. At night you can set the sound to background noise and turn your phone or tablet off and it will conserve battery life, but it is one thing to note if you like to see your child while they are napping. 2. While the initial camera placement for a baby is awesome and I understand why it needs to be over the crib, it is not a great set up for when transitioning to toddlerhood. I know you can un mount and put more holes in the wall, or use the stand, but when your toddler gets the freedom of their own bed having something mounted to the wall and can see the entire room is very helpful for safety purposes. Putting the monitor on the stand which comes with the kit would be a solution but the fewer loose and easy to grab things in the room for a toddler the better (we are literally going through it right now with my oldest... its a struggle) Neutral Comment: This system does utilize wi-fi and for our family we like these types of systems. It is a benefit to be able to check in on the kids when we are not with them (and they are with Nana or Gramama). It is also nice I can be out in the backyard or driveway with my toddler while my baby is napping and not have to worry about the range of the system. Nanit does a great job of walking caregivers through additional security measures to ensure the system is as secure as it can be, and I really appreciate this added step. Last thoughts: The complete set is worth getting with the monitoring system. It comes with everything you need to be able to use the basic features without needing to add on additional accessories. It is a little more money in the beginning, but you will want to use the features and have to add on additional accessories later- better to do it up front. You can also upgrade the tracking information to keep track of sleep habits and additional insights. This information is not super helpful for us... but my girl has been a great sleeper from the beginning. If we were having sleep challenges, to be able to go back through her night time sleep habits with a professional would be invaluable information to have... and you can have it with this system. We will be continuing to use this product for my baby and transitioning away from our original monitoring system.
